38 U.S.C. § 3679(e) Compliance Policy
Lakewood University is committed to supporting eligible Veterans, Service members, and dependents who use U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs educational benefits.
In accordance with 38 U.S.C. § 3679(e), Lakewood University maintains a policy protecting eligible students using benefits under Chapter 31, Chapter 33, and Chapter 35, as applicable, from certain penalties or restrictions while VA educational benefit payments are pending.
The policy explains Lakewood University’s procedures regarding:
Continued attendance and participation while eligible VA payments are pending;
Protection from late fees or other penalties resulting from delayed VA payments;
Continued access to classes, institutional resources, and educational services; and
Documentation and certification requirements for students using VA educational benefits.
