Biography

Greg Tarr, graduated from the Ohio Police Academy in 1992. Greg has 28 years law enforcement experience and is currently serving as the Acting Chief of Police for the Hubbard Township Police Department in Northeast Ohio near Youngstown.    

As Acting Chief of Police, Greg is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities of the Police Department and supervision of all police personnel. Some duties include formulation of policies/procedures, planning, staffing, and directing police activities; preparing, and administering the budget, investigate citizen complaints about police personnel, disciplinary actions, and related matters. 

Greg has been teaching college courses online and in-seat for over 15 years and have instructed at Penn State University, Eastern Gateway Community College, Youngstown State University, Carrington College, and Southern New Hampshire University. He has served in the role of Lead Faculty developing master course content  for online courses to create consistency, academic integrity, and accreditation compliance. He also serves as Adjunct Faculty Representative at the College Council at two universities and member of the distance learning committee at Youngstown State University.
