February 15th will be my twelfth year in motherhood. As a young twenty-two-year-old who had so many dreams and aspirations, I felt like my world had crumbled. I had just finished college and graduated with a diploma in Hotel Management. I wasn’t done and my goal was to further my studies and hopefully do my master’s.
My dreams were crushed in a second or so, I thought. Little did I know that God wasn’t done with me. Lakewood University offered me an opportunity a decade later and here I am studying for a degree in Healthcare Administration. I can’t wait to be part of the change in the healthcare system here in Kenya and beyond. In the words of Lupita, “your dreams are valid” and so I continue to dream as I explore this gift by Lakewood University.
