Remel K. Moore is an experienced educator, administrator, and program manager. She has worked at three institutions of higher education: Portland State University, University of Liberia and Hood College serving as a student advisor, program director, and vice president of student affairs. In addition, she has lived abroad and worked in cultural affairs and international relations as Executive Director of the U.S. Educational and Cultural Foundation in Liberia and W.E.B. DuBois Centre for Pan African Culture in Ghana.
She is a trained facilitator and has worked with various groups in Oregon, Washington, Liberia, Maryland, Ohio, Belize, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia and Mauritius. Most recently, she served as the executive director of Coming Together Stark County promoting diversity and inclusion. She is certified as a Strong African American Families facilitator and a Certified Diversity Executive.
She received her B.A. from Denison University, M.Ed. from Portland State University, post-graduate course work at Portland State University and the University of Liberia. Presently, Mrs. Moore is pursuing her PH.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies program, concentrating on Humanities and Culture at the Union Institute and University
