Lakewood University Plans Donation to Operation Cuyahoga Cares in Order to Support Twelve Families in Need
Families who have been hit the hardest by COVID-19 will benefit from the college’s donation.
Cleveland Heights, OH – Lakewood University is humbled to announce it will be contributing to Operation Cuyahoga Carers in order to help financially support twelve families in need.

Lakewood University is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that provides worldwide distance education for business, medical, and legal professions. The college provides quality online programs that are both rigorous and able to be earned in a short period of time.
As part of the college’s mission to continuously support the needs of its students, Lakewood University is also a firm believer in supporting businesses, families, and individuals in their local community. As such, the college has recently made the decision to donate to a local cause – Operation Cuyahoga Cares.
Operation Cuyahoga Cares is a financial assistance program designed specifically to help families who have been hit the hardest by the recent COVID-19 pandemic. The program works by matching donors with families in need to help them financially during this unprecedented crisis. Donations are provided in the form of online gift cards, suggested by each family, which are then delivered directly from the agency itself.
“We chose to help support Operation Cuyahoga Cares by providing a donation that will support twelve of our local families,” says founder of Lakewood University, Tanya Haggins. “The work this organization does is admirable and mirrors our own values as a college. We feel that by supporting Operation Cuyahoga Cares and the families they work with, we are helping to make a difference in our community through a collaborative effort.”
