Biography

Devonte White PhD is a first-generation college student from Inverness, Florida. Previous Colleges attended were Florida State University (Bachelors in Criminology), Florida A&M University (Master’s in Criminal Justice), and Texas Southern University (PhD in Administration of Justice). Devonte’s research interests include violent crime in sports and social justice.

Devonte is a research fellow for the Center for Science and Law where he collects data on behalf of the Baylor College of Medicine’s Initiative on Neuroscience and Law that designed an iPad risk assessment application that determined offender decision-making characteristics through a range of cognitive trait. Devonte is also a research fellow at the Center For Justice Research, where he helps produce innovative solutions to reform efforts alongside an experienced group of researchers working to understand and address the current challenges of the U.S. criminal justice system. His hobbies include playing basketball, music and spending time with friends and family
